Solera’s breakthrough Qapter solution drives United Auto to success – Insurance News Net | CarTailz

Customers see shorter wait times, while reviewers see an increase in production

West Lake, Texas–(BUSINESS WIRE)–
That United Automobile Insurance Company is committed to a digital-first approach for its customers and leverages Qapter Intelligent Estimating with Visual Intelligence, an AI-powered solution from Solera, the global leader in vehicle lifecycle management.

By using Qapter, United Auto reports that customers are seeing reduced wait times, while surveyors have significantly improved their production.

“As customers increasingly seek a digital self-service option for their claims processing, United Auto has quickly adapted by implementing Qapter Intelligent Estimating into its workflow,” said Solera VP and Head of US sale of receivables Daniel Barington. “We are pleased that our solution delivers on its promise of speeding up estimates while allowing insurers to focus on more complicated cases.”

“Our team is able to process more estimates every day thanks to Solera,” said Denis Sharshunskiy, National Appraisal Manager at United Auto. “Qapter Intelligent Estimating is not only easy for our customers to use, but its speed and accuracy has transformed the way we process virtual claims.”

After an accident occurs, the policyholder submits their own images via Qapter’s Guided Image Capture process, helping the user capture the best quality photos using patented vehicle masks.

Using these photos and an unrivaled global vehicle repair database of more than 100 million images, Qapter’s visual intelligence combines machine learning, Solera’s proprietary Repair Science™ algorithm, and A2E, Solera’s automated scoring engine, to generate a preliminary estimate in three minutes.

Qapter’s innovative “Inside-Out” methodology builds the estimate from the car’s innermost damaged parts and automatically incorporates the manufacturer’s recommended operations, while eliminating duplicate operations and increasing accuracy.

As a result of Qapter’s performance, Solera and United Auto are expanding the partnership with an API integration into their insured FNOL self-service portal, which will result in an even better customer experience and a reduction in cycle time.

The data shows that insurance companies should start adopting more digital solutions to streamline claims workflow. According to Solera’s Innovation Index, 79% of tech-savvy consumers would trust a fully AI-powered automotive claim. A third of respondents have completed an auto claim without speaking to a processor and more than half have taken pictures of their vehicle to upload to their insurer’s platform.

“AI is quickly becoming the benchmark for optimized claims experience,” said Barrington. “Insurance providers who embrace these changes now can stay ahead of the curve with Solera’s next-generation technologies and benefit from faster decision-making, greater employee productivity and improved business resilience.”
