General Dynamics, Bath Iron Works, Bath, Maine, receives a $181,983,583 cost-plus-bonus change to previously awarded contract N00024-19-C-4452, DDG-51 Planning Yard Services. This change exercises the last option period for the continuation of integrated planning shipyard services and long lead material for the Arleigh Burke class ships. Work will be carried out in Bath, Maine and is scheduled to be completed by January 2024. Other procurement funds (Navy) in FY2023 of $2,346,518 (51%); and FY2023 operating and maintenance (Navy) fees of $2,251,962 (49%) are due at the time of award. Funding for operations and maintenance (Navy) expires at the end of the current fiscal year; however, 10 US Code 2410(a) authority will be called upon to extend the benefit period beyond the September 30, 2023 funding expiration date. BAE Systems Land & Armaments LP, Sterling Heights, Michigan, has been awarded a modification to previously awarded Amphibious Combat Vehicles (ACVs) Contract M67854-16-0006 for a fixed price of $153,735,465. The total cumulative notional value of the contract is $2,074,435,899. This contract modification provides for the exercise of options to purchase 30 full rate production ACVs and associated production, field and support costs. Work will be performed in York, Pennsylvania (60%); Aiken, SC (15%); San Jose, California (15%); Sterling Heights, Michigan (5%); and Stafford, Virginia (5%), with an estimated completion date of December 2024. Fiscal year 2023 procurement funds (Marine Corps) of $153,735,465 will become binding at the time of award and will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. General Atomics – Aeronautical Systems Inc., of Poway, Calif., receives a $46,939,334 fixed price change (P00002) on a purchase order (N0001922F2395) against a previously issued Basic Purchase Order Agreement (N0001922G0006). This modification exercises an option to provide replacement parts necessary for the successful operational capability of the Marine Air Ground Task Force Unmanned Aircraft System Expeditionary Medium Altitude Long Endurance MQ-9A Block 5 Reaper aircraft, ground control stations, and ancillary equipment. Work will be performed in Poway, California (52%); San Diego, California (15%); Walpole, Mass. (5.1%); Carlsbad, California (5%); St Charles, Missouri (2.7%); El Cajon, California (2.5%); Oxnard, California (1.5%); Farmingdale, NY (1.3%); Herndon, Va. (1.3%); Aurora, Ohio (1.05%); Ontario, California (1%); Nevada City, California (1%); Tulare, California (1%); Huntsville, Arkansas (1%); Miami, FL (1%); Newberry, SC (1%); various locations within the continental US (5.8%); and Toronto, Canada (0.75%) and is expected to be completed in February 2026. For fiscal year 2023, aircraft (naval) procurement funds of $46,939,334 will be committed at the time of award, none of which will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland is the contract operation.
Lockheed Martin, Baltimore, Maryland was awarded a $44,992,225 fixed price contract for previously awarded contract N00024-18-C-2301 to provide procurement and engineering efforts to support the replacement of small fighter propulsion systems. Work will be conducted in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania and is expected to be completed by October 2025. The contract also contains options which, if exercised, would increase the cumulative contract value to $168,876,672 and would be completed by October 2028. An amount of $44,992,225 is due upon grant and does not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Supervisor of Shipbuilding, Conversion, and Repair, Bath, Maine, is the contract work. Sikorsky Aircraft Corp. of Stratford, Connecticut is receiving a fixed price change (P00005) of $14,117,552 on a purchase order (N0001920F0157) against a previously issued Basic Purchase Order Agreement (N0001919G0029). This modification exercises an option to provide one-time engineering, supplies and support required for the CH-53K Navy’s CH-53K heavy lift replacement aircraft ready-to-deploy configuration updates. Work will be conducted in West Palm Beach, Florida and is expected to be completed in December 2023. This contract provides for the manufacture, testing and delivery of modulators, signal generators (radio frequency module), including demolition and evaluations, repairs and hardware modifications to modify or develop variants that significantly enhance the capabilities of the airborne threat simulation organization as a leader and obtained in electronic attack and active emitter systems for simulating threats against US forces in a dynamic electronic warfare environment. Raytheon Missiles and Defense Systems, Marlborough, Massachusetts, has been awarded $8,100,000 at an unspecified fixed price not to be exceeded as an amendment to previously awarded Enterprise Air Surveillance Radar Emulator Contract N00024-16-C-5370. Work will be performed in Cerritos, California (93%); and Marlborough, Massachusetts (7%) and is expected to be completed by September 2023. Shipbuilding and Conversion (Navy) grants for FY2020 of $3,252,500 become binding at the time of award and do not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington Navy Yard, Washington, DC is the contract activity.
Airbus US Space & Defense Inc., Arlington, Virginia, was awarded a modification (P00027) valued at $42,588,842 to contract W58RGZ-22-C-0022 to increase flight hours. Work will be conducted in Grand Prairie, Texas with an estimated completion date of December 31, 2022. $42,588,842 in Army funds was committed for FY2023 operations and maintenance at the time of award.
